Ben Sindall
Trainee Engineer
Ben left school with 4x A* (Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Design Technology), and has since completed his second year of General Engineering MEng at The University of Sheffield, winning a university engineering scholarship and a prize for his first year results.
Since joining Cadenza, Ben has created a train journey time model, including considerations for different train classes, gradients, and defensive driving.
He's also created a national railway asset database, and worked with the client team to manage the data collection process.
In preparation for a site visit, Ben created a multi-platform app to streamline the data collection process, geolocating the photos and using speech-to-text to collect notes. The app also features live location sharing, real-time updates, role based permissions and multiple export formats (CSV, KMZ, etc.).
Ben continues to work for Cadenza part-time.
